New Yarn to Dye!!!

This morning I paid for an order of superwash sport and alpaca DK bases. I am terribly excited and I hope that the Alpaca yarn is as soft as I want it to be. I love alpaca! Also on order are samples of some silk, alpaca, wool, and mohair mixes. Look forward to fun & colorful skeins and if anyone has any ideas/requests let me know! I can potentially get 6 different colors out of this order, and I am always looking for excuses to buy more.

The plans for this is to split the large orange ball into two sock sized cakes. Then I can use either be blue or green ball to do the toe and heels. The other ball will be fought over by my knitter friends or will serve as a gift. Right now I am leaning towards using the bluer coordinating ball.

Take Two

These I can theoretically recreate within in reasonable expectations! I love them both the purple green is in the process of becoming Dragonscale Mitts.(http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dragon-scale-gauntlets). My husband has claimed the blue ball for socks, but if anyone gets attached to these let me know and I will make another ball!

first foray into dyeing

These are my first time dyeing. I think I like them both, but I have no idea how to recreate them. These were prior to when my OCD note taking started.

Oh yeah, and I have three mischievous kitties that I adore. I am sure they will have to be part of the blog too, since they have to be an integral part in everything I do.
Hello and welcome to my blog! I am new at the whole blog thing, which like everything else probably means I have missed the blogging boat. Hopefully someone will read it, and hopefully I will start putting up pretties for everyone to drool over! : ) Just give me a day or two to figure out what I am doing.
